A Unified Formula for Minimising Casualties and Alleviating Potential Human Distress by Limiting the Outbreak of Military Conflict or Military Contagion

[ELI5]: A Golden-Strategic Objective for Conflict is defined as follows: Min. global / local loss of life and min. time-elapsed for the (re-)commence of pareto-improved trade.

In facing imminent threats, global political leadership has historically resorted to a broad arsenals of military strategies that include digital, psychological, and conventional warfare. These measures have always had a basic twofold aim: to deter adversaries and to prevent the escalation of conflict, thereby protecting human lives from further harm.

Could we achieve these strategic aims and engender a rejuvenation, stabilisation and recommencement of pareto-optimal trade* faster? Especially by actively seeking to minimise the sacrifice of human lives and by safeguarding against the infringement or erosion of essential freedoms, a goal unconstrained by national borders or identities? *These freedoms span the spectrum from the right to information and freedom of movement to freedom of thought, human dignity and beyond.

By elevating the importance of human life over national priorities and recognising the ultimate goal of military engagements as fostering a balanced, mutually beneficial, and respectful return to trade, we propose a new formula.

This paradigm is not merely about deterring threats but aims at preventing any further loss of human life while meeting critical strategic objectives. Such a framework suggests a future where the essential goals of a conflict — ensuring a safe, equitable, pareto-optimal and [infinitely-lasting | eon-spanning] + stable trade ecosystem — are met without loss of life, surmounting geographical and national divisions.

By adopting a view that prioritises the sanctity of human life and acknowledges the primary aim of military action is to secure a balanced and fair resumption of trade, preserving human life is not just an urgent and noble goal but becomes the very crux of strategic compassion in military operations.

This approach does not view casualties merely in terms of numbers but regards each human life as invaluable, advocating for strategic actions that protect freedoms and promote peace, aiming for a world where trade and human dignity flourish side by side, free from the shadow of conflict.
